About our Community Announcements
Here is our policy regarding our Community Announcements:
You may not post for sale, yard sale, garage sale, for sale by owner, special sale, or open house announcements. You may not post wanted to buy announcements. These are for classified ads in your local paper, not community announcements.
All announcements are posted for five days only. If you wish to keep an announcement up until the actual date of the event, you must post it again when it expires.
ZiaNet, Inc. reserves the right to deny listings that do not fit into the categories offered, or which we otherwise deem inappropriate for this forum. Here are the categories:
Life events: Birthday, Anniversary, Wedding, Divorce, Engagement, Graduation, Birth, and Death. The message should be about someone and should be from someone.
Event: should be about some special occasion or reminder for a community, not for an individual person. Examples would be the appearance of a band, speaker, author, or other person, at some public forum, or a conference or special event open to the public.
Congratulations: may be used for retirement, job promotions, awards, achievements, or the results of competitive events. The message should be directed at a person or group.
Festival: should be used for county, city, or other government sponsored community celebrations related to holidays or otherwise observed regularly. The message should be an announcement and an invitation to the community to participate.
Meeting: may be used by clubs, civic organizations, schools, and governments to announce and invite the public, or a specific group of people, to attend. The message must be of general interest to the community at large.
Grand Opening: may be used to announce the opening of new businesses. The message should be of general interest to the community, and must include date and time information, directions to the event, and contact information.
Club: may be used to announce meetings or special events, or to attract new members, to clubs or civic organizations. The message should be of general interest to the community, and must include date and time information, directions to the event, and contact information.
Of Interest: may be used to call attention or to invite participation in some community concern. The message should be a call for interested persons to contact you if interested in some community concern, club, civic organization, or community action. The concern should be spelled out in 25 words or so.
