METS is a family of products providing powerful single system simulation capabilities for multiple data types. The supported data types include:

All METS products are designed to support full data rate simulations. All channels can be operated simultaneously at maximum data rates. This includes very high rate channels such as 1000BaseT Ethernet. All supported burst oriented channel types (e.g. MIL-STD-1553, Ethernet, etc.) can be programmed to operate at user defined bus/network loading from 1 Hz to 100 percent.
Another unique feature of the METS products is their ability to simulate error conditions in the data streams.
All METS products can synchronize to an external time source (e.g. GPS). The precise time-of-transmission of each frame is embedded as data in most test frames, allowing verification of an IRIG 106 Chapter 10 recorder’s time stamping performance. All METS products also include IRIG-200 Time Code Generators to allow time synchronization with other equipment such as a data recorder.
More recent METS products such as the METS-FC Fibre Channel simulator also include the ability to receive, monitor, and capture incoming data as well.
The METS product family is the de-facto standard for validating IRIG 106 Chapter 10 recorder compliance and performance.
